About the Author

Edwynna Nolan was born in Lawrence County, Indiana, and attended Indiana schools. She received her B.S. in home economics and her M.S. in vocational education from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Mrs. Nolan has taught middle school and high school home economics in Lawrence County and Monroe County. She recently retired from her position as chair of the allied arts department and teacher of home economics (now known as family and consumer sciences) at Bloomington High School South. She is a member of the American Family and Consumer Sciences Association and the American Vocational Association. She has held several offices at the national, state, and local levels.

Mrs. Nolan is married, the mother of three married daughters. Her hobbies include traveling, outdoor sports, reading, and enjoying her grandchildren.
